2nd Annual CAN IT! Campaign Huge Success!
FORT MYERS, Fla. – November 27, 2012 – In an effort to help end hunger in Southwest Florida, Pushing the Envelope, Inc. recently hosted their 2nd Annual CAN IT!, a food drive – doubling their goal from last year to 1,000 items.
With support from many community members and businesses throughout Southwest Florida, the goal was exceeded by nearly 20%! Approximately 1,180 items were collected during the five-week campaign and donated to Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. (CCMI) for their soup kitchen and emergency food supplies.
According to CCMI, “on average, a 30lb bag of food is provided to families. The estimated 1,200 lbs of food donated through the CAN IT! Campaign will feed about 40 families (depending of family size).”
Pushing the Envelope, Inc. would like to thank their participating drop off locations who joined the campaign this year including: City Mattress, Frantz Eye Care, Profiles Hair Skin Nails, Salon Adrian, California Closets, Pressstige Printing, Progressive, and Office Furniture & Design Concepts, Inc.
