FORT MYERS, Fla. – April 22, 2014 – Pushing the Envelope, Inc. (PTE), a local marketing and public relations firm, won a Grand Image Award, two Image Awards, and two Awards of Distinction at the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter Image Awards ceremony last night. This is the eighth year in a row that the firm has been honored for outstanding communications campaigns.
PTE won a Grand Image Award and an Image Award for the online engagement campaign, “Best Catch” produced for Pure Florida, a local marine attraction company. Tiffany Whitaker, director of business development and account services for PTE, and Diana Leadley, digital marketing coordinator, produced the campaign. A Grand Image Award is FPRA’s highest honor.
An Image Award, indicating the work was the best in its category, was also received by PTE for their Rise Up Internship Program. The program was planned and implemented by Samantha Scott, APR, president of PTE, and Tiffany Whitaker.
Two Awards of Distinction, given for an outstanding public relations program, were received for promotional marketing and special events for the grand opening of Six Bends, the newest Harley-Davidson® destination owned by Scott Fischer Enterprises. Samantha Scott, APR and Lisa Davanzo, public relations and project manger, led the promotion and planning for the events.
The Southwest Florida chapter of FPRA hosted the award ceremony at the Marina at Edison Ford. Currently, Scott is the immediate past president and Whitaker is the treasurer for the local FPRA chapter. The Florida Public Relations Association is a statewide organization designed to promote professional and ethical public relations through professional development and community involvement.
