FORT MYERS, Fla. – September 28, 2015 – Pushing the Envelope has announced the addition of Wytske Rijpkema, from Hanze University, Netherlands, to its internship program. Rijpkema is the first international student to participate in the expanding program, which offers students hands-on, real-world experience in the marketing communication industry.
Rijpkema is expected to graduate in two years with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Hanze University of Applied Science, Groningen, Netherlands. She will also graduate with a minor in History, Language and Culture of the English-speaking world.
“I am so happy and excited to have an internship at Pushing the Envelope and that this opportunity has been given to me. I’m sure that my new colleagues are able to make me a real professional. Florida is a lovely state which I would love to discover and experience by doing typical American activities.”
For the next five months, Pushing the Envelope will work with Rijpkema to develop her knowledge in branding, marketing and communication as well as exercise her practical skills in the key areas they provide services to clients.
“Our mission is to contribute to the future of our community and the industry by providing a program that will empower, mentor and prepare students for the real world business environment,” commented Tiffany Whitaker, Director of Business Development and Client Services at Pushing the Envelope. “Our internship program provides the experience they need to become future leaders and successful professionals.”
