Updates to Online Business Platforms / Channels

Google+ / Google My Business

Google is among several platforms that have put some temporary limitations and delays in support in place. Specifically, Google My Business (reviews, listings, etc.) features are on hold as they prioritize critical services.

During this time, users will not be able to post any new reviews to business pages and the ability to publish responses to reviews is also suspended temporarily. In addition, the new Q&A function is unavailable too.

Businesses are still able to, and should, continue to update their listing(s) with any information about new hours, temporary closures, takeout options, etc. Additional information about making updates to your business listing can be found by clicking here.

Yelp

On March 20, the business directory service and review forum announced $25 million in relief that’s primarily focused on supporting independent, local restaurant and nightlife businesses. The relief comes in the form of waived advertising fees and free advertising, products, and services during this time.
