A Great Learning Experience
My experience with Pushing the Envelope (PTE) has been a great learning experience so far. It’s hard to believe that we are in November and it’s even harder to believe that I’m at the midpoint of my internship. Since joining, I have become familiar with PTE clients such as Six Bends Harley-Davidson, CRS Technology Consultants and CPR Tools, Inc.
I’ve always enjoyed writing and creating personality in my pieces. So, my favorite assignments fall along the lines of drafting blogs for clients. It has been interesting learning the different voices behind brands and incorporating those voices into blogs and social media platforms.
Throughout my time here I’ve also learned how to leverage community relations for our patrons. This may include connecting clients with philanthropic events that suit their mission or having them apply for individual/ business awards. In addition, I’ve compiled stock photos for social media purposes as well as media clips to showcase how our client partners are being featured.
I look forward to learning more about media relations and how to showcase our clients’ events through the news. I hope to become more efficient when drafting social media content schedules. With the PTE staff, I think I will learn how to master all these tasks with flying colors!
