FORT MYERS, Fla. – November 25, 2014 – In an effort to help put hunger in its place in Southwest Florida, Pushing the Envelope, Inc. recently held their 4th Annual CAN IT! food drive and successfully collected more than 1,000 non-perishable food items for Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. (CCMI) for this holiday season. The food items will help CCMI run their soup kitchen and Meals on Wheels program.
With the support of many community members and local businesses, Pushing the Envelope, Inc. was able to reach their goal in just four weeks, collecting more than 946 pounds of non-perishable food items. As of today, the CAN IT! Campaign with community supporters, has donated almost 4,000 pounds of food to CCMI.
Pushing the Envelope, Inc. would like to thank all their drop off locations who participated in the 4th Annual CAN IT! food drive including: All American Pet Resorts of Fort Myers, Pulse Business Solutions, Profiles Hair Skin Nails, Rustys Raw Bar and Grill, Salon Adrian, Sienna at Vista Lake Apartments, and Stevie Tomato’s Sports Page.
