On Nov. 15, Pushing the Envelope, Inc. completed its 9th Annual CAN IT! Campaign, a food drive benefiting those less fortunate in Southwest Florida. The campaign collected 3,296 non-perishable food items for Community Cooperative, Inc. (CCI), the most collected since the campaign’s inception and far exceeding the 1,000-item goal.
From daycares to car parts stores to churches and roofing companies, Pushing the Envelope partnered with a record twenty-six businesses and organizations to collect donations (which can all be found here).
With the completion of this campaign, the CAN IT! Campaign has donated thousands of items amounting to more than 13,100 pounds of food to CCI since its inception in 2010.
“This food drive was an incredible display of the giving spirit that pervades Southwest Florida,” commented Samantha Scott, APR, PTE President. “We are overwhelmed by the support of like-minded people who donated and served as drop-off locations, but most pleased to know we’ve been able to help others this holiday season.”
Giving back to our community is an integral part of Pushing the Envelope’s company culture. The firm plans to host the campaign again in 2020, marking 10 years of helping feed the hungry in Southwest Florida. For more information or to help, please contact Juliana@getpushing.com.
