On Nov. 15, Pushing the Envelope, Inc. completed its 10th Annual CAN IT! Campaign, a food drive benefiting those less fortunate in Southwest Florida. The campaign collected 4,571 non-perishable food items for Community Cooperative, Inc. (CCI), the most collected since the campaign’s inception and more than doubling this year’s 2,000-item goal.
From restaurants and apartment communities to daycares, salons, and gyms, Pushing the Envelope partnered with 23 Southwest Florida businesses and organizations to collect donations. The full list of participating drop-off locations can be found at https://www.getpushing.com/community/can-it/.
With the completion of this campaign, the CAN IT! Campaign food drive has collected thousands of items amounting to more than 16,400 pounds of food donated to CCI since the campaign started in 2010.
“This food drive was a remarkable display of the generosity that can be found in Southwest Florida,” commented Samantha Scott, APR, PTE President. “We are overwhelmed by the support of like-minded people who donated and served as drop-off locations – especially during this challenging year. To think of the many people and families that will benefit makes it all worthwhile.”
Giving back to the community is an integral part of Pushing the Envelope’s company culture. The firm plans to host the campaign again in 2021, marking 11 years of helping feed the hungry in Southwest Florida.
