On Nov. 15, Pushing the Envelope, Inc., completed its 12th Annual CAN IT! Campaign, a food drive dedicated to helping those in need in Southwest Florida. In total, 3,503 donations were collected in just one month and given to Community Cooperative, Inc. (CCI). Collectively, the items weighed in at 3,436.50 pounds!
Eleven Southwest Florida businesses and organizations in Lee and Collier Counties partnered with Pushing the Envelope as drop-off locations and/or to collect donations internally. The full list of participating drop-off locations can be found at https://www.getpushing.com/community/can-it/.
Since its inception in 2010, the CAN IT! Campaign food drive has collected thousands of items for CCI, resulting in more than 23,100 pounds of donated food.
“The CAN IT! Campaign has successfully contributed to the fight against hunger for the last twelve years. Post-Hurricane Ian, our area’s need was greater than ever, and we felt compelled to help however we could,” said Samantha Scott, APR, Pushing the Envelope president. “I am grateful for our community partners and those individuals who donated to help us help others in our community.”
Giving back to the community is an integral part of Pushing the Envelope’s company culture. The firm plans to host the campaign again in 2023, marking 13 years of helping feed the hungry in Southwest Florida. For more information or to help, please contact Caitlyn@getpushing.com.
