Samantha Scott, APR, President and Owner of Pushing the Envelope, Inc. (PTE), a local strategic marketing communication firm in Fort Myers, was inducted as Chair of the Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Foundation Board.

Scott has served on the FGCU Foundation Board since 2016 and is the first FGCU alumni and second female to serve as the Chair. Scott will serve a two-year term and will work closely with other board members to achieve established goals.

The FGCU Foundation is responsible for pursuing private support for the University and for the management of received funds. This board acts as an oversight and ensures policies and procedures are being followed in the Foundation. 

Scott has sat on numerous boards throughout her career, including the Florida Gulf Coast University Marketing Advisory Board, Gulf Coast Humane Society, Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, and more. She has also held many leadership roles on these boards and has created a culture of community engagement and involvement within her personal and professional life.
