FORT MYERS, Fla. – July 21, 2011 – Samantha Scott, Grand Poobah and Owner of Pushing the Envelope, Inc. is officially Accredited in Public Relations (APR). A standard of excellence and professionalism in the field, becoming accredited is a significant undertaking.
The process is extremely challenging, involving a lengthy process of reviews and an in-depth exam of the field of communications. It’s recognized as a confirmation of skill and professionalism in the industry.
According to the Public Relations Society of America, who coordinates the accreditation process with the Universal Accreditation Board, becoming an APR is a “measure of a public relations practitioner’s fundamental knowledge of communications theory and its application; establishes advanced capabilities in research, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation; and demonstrates a commitment to professional excellence and ethical conduct. The skills acquired through the process are applicable to any industry or practice area.”

Scott’s background is diverse, serving a variety of clients including four Harley-Davidson dealerships, two California Closets franchises, Cruise Naples, Marine Team International, World Championship of Sand Sculpting and more. She’s been working in the field for nearly 10 years and opened Pushing the Envelope, Inc. 5 years ago with her husband.
